Personalisation and Involvement Officer

We want to employ a disabled person to work throughout Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, to give support locally to individuals and groups using Leonard Cheshire Disability residential and community services.

You will be home based but prepared to travel extensively throughout the South West with occasional overnight stays. You will have good IT skills and will be able to perform general administrative tasks independently.

As a member of the Customer Support Team, you should have a thorough understanding of the Social Model of Disability with substantial experience of providing advice and support to disabled people. The team supports the Service Users' Networking Association (SUNA), to function as an effective representative body and provides 1:1 peer support to service users to enable them to participate more effectively within SUNA and to take advantage of their rights under the government's personalisation agenda.
